Where's your head at!?

This track is quite populair on the radio and is played in several clubs, im talking about:

Jean Elan - Where's Your Head At (Klaas Remix)

The part making the song is knows from Basement Jaxx, which is probably more famous by international crowd.

Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At

But, don't be disappointed, the famous sound is sampled from:

Gary Numan - M.E.

Junior Jack - Stupidisco

Pointer Sisters - Dare Me(0.55 min)

Yup, it's the same as the hitsong:

Junior Jack - Stupidisco

David Guetta

Just listen to this song for at least 20 seconds:

Simple Minds - Someone Somewhere in Summertime

Let me pull a Char on you; you're thinking "the world is mine" right?
Althuogh Char would need a lot more guessing, correct:

David Guetta -The World Is Mine

Kraak & Smaak's Squeeze me

Kraak & Smaak - Squeeze me

Really cool clip by thw way...

But that voice, it is sampled from:

ohnnie Taylor - You're The Best Girl In The World (1.06 min)

Switch - A Bit Patch (Apache)

Switch - A Bit Patchy

This track you must have heard in the clubs in one of these month's right? It's the most recent remix of a classic song. But to find the original, we go back in time again. Starting with other users of the original on chronilogical way:

Nas - Made You Look (2003)

The Roots- Thought At Work(2002)

Moby - Machete (1999)(sample used at 1.45 min)

The Future Sound of London - We have explosive(1986)

Goldie - Innercity Life (1995)

Sugar Hill Gang - Jump On It (1981)

West Street Mob: Break Dance (1973)

Incredible Bongo Band - Apache (1973)

Davie Allan and the Arrows: Apache (1965)

The Ventures: Apache (1963)

Jorgen Ingmann: Apache (1961)

That was quite a joruney, but we've made it:

Cliff Richard and the Shadows: Apache (1960)

Bert Weedon: Apache (1960)

Coldplay vs Satriani part 2

From this day on this blog will be in english, just for the people visiting from around the world. But to start the topic about Satriani, i was watching some videos on youtube and found one accusing Satriani for Plagiarism. Listined the song and yes, it sounded a like.

So because there are still songs popping up with the same chord progressions and melodies I decided to look them up and list them here. So here is the list that might be updated soon again in chronological way:

Cat Stevens: Love/Heaven (1970's)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUXda-RTE_c
(could not embed the video, but check at 3.15 min.)

Marty Balin - Hearts (1980's)

Los Enanitos Verdes: Francis Limon (2002)(1.00 min)

Not that obvious, but still the same progression:
Alizee - Jen ai marre (2003)

Then in 2004 the infamous:
Joe Satriani - If I Could Fly (0.50 sec)

Gunther: Teeny Weeny String Bikini (2004)

Gunther doesn't seem a guy who own a lot of money because of his tracks, but Coldplay.. So offcourse you sue them when they make a copy of your copied song. From 2007:

Creaky Boards - The Songs I Didn't Write

Sample Alert

Locksmith - Far Beyond (1980)

Bekend deuntje hè?

Somebody is Watching Me

Beatfreakz - Somebodys Watching Me

Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me

Voyage, Voyage

Kate Ryan - Voyage,voyage

Desireless - Voyage,voyage

Don't Call me Baby

Pino D'Angio - Ma Quale Idea

Australia - Madison Avenue - Don't Call Me Baby

The Amen Break

The Winstons - Amen Brother

Chaka Demus & Pliers - Bam Bam

Bailando

Loona - Bailando

Een jaar daarvoor kwam deze uit:
Paradisio - Bailando

Get a Move on Moondog

Even een heerlijk deuntje:
Moondog - Lament

Klonk bekend, of nôh?
Mr. Scruff’s - Get a Move On

Ella Elle L'a x2

Kate Ryan - Ella Elle L'a

France Gall - Ella, Elle L'a

Like a Prayer

Mad'House - Like A Prayer

Dat 'like a prayer' afkomstig is van onderstaande track is niet zo lastig..
Madonna - Like a Prayer

Black Legend - See the trouble with me

Barry White - See the trouble with me (2.40 min)

Say Say Say

Hi-Tack - Say Say Say

Michael Jackson & Paul Mccartney - Say Say Say (1.10 min)

Do!

Deze versie hoor je op skyradio:
Bryan Adams - Heaven

En deze op 538:
Dj Sammy & Yanou feat do heaven

(sorry voor de amateur video)

Audio Bullies Bang Bang

Audio Bullys - Shot me down

Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang

Cher - Bang Bang

Parapa-papapapa

Cidinho e Doca - Rap Das Armas
